A mixed media group show, including visual art, installation, film, sculpture, creative writing and performance. Interpretations, opinions and insights stemming from thoughts on our post analogue age. Historical, prophetic, poetic, the visions are wide and multi-dimensional. Come and be a part of here and maybe now, there and possibly then, and what might happen next.

There will also be a sound event on Sunday 19th December, 2 till 6pm. Featuring some of the above artists and others.

Inspiral, an exhibition on a theme of static motion, an installation in shape and sound. A minimal world of multiple dimensions from the mind of Japanese artist Fumico Azuma. It‘s an exploration into the notion of perpetual movement through the use of static material. Using plywood, cut, hung and pulled away from flat surfaces into three dimensional forms where the space between becomes just as significant as that which is filled. Simple in concept, though far from simplistic, it draws you into a depth of spacial awareness where your own movement governs how the work is experienced. In conjunction with projections and the in house sound collage of ZUZUSHII MONKEY, this is unlike any other body of work you‘ll see in Hastings.

Music arrives back at ZUZUSHII ART LABORATORY. Simon And The Pope, Good For Nothing Poet, ZUZUSHII MONKEY, in no known order. Starts at 3 in the afternoon, till around 6. Sunday 12th September.

OPEN – to misinterpretation.

The private view will also be on Saturday 31st July, throughout the afternoon from 2pm. Show ends on Saturday 21st August. Gallery opening times are from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

An exhibition in celebration of the ambiguous. A visual, vibrant journey through 2 and 3D collage, mixed media assemblage, sculpture, prints and total abstraction. Taking part are Fumico Azuma, Tim Can, Peter Quinnell, James Roseveare, Mark Soye and April Yasamee. There‘s much to see on many levels and some of the exhibition will be rotated over the duration, so visiting more than once is recommended.

A RESURRECTION EXHIBITION.

At The ZUZUSHII ART LABORATORY, 26 White Rock, Hastings, TN34 1JY.

Wednesday 12th May to Wednesday 9th June. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.

To break a rule, there is no private view, we want to avoid a large number of people turning up at the same time. However, you are all more than welcome to pay us a visit in your own good time.

All work is by Fumico Azuma and Tim Can – Installations and mixed media collage, many pieces as yet unseen due to obvious reasons. 

So please come to help us and to help us all, come back to life.
